What the Community Council has done recently.
Most of the Craigiebuckler and Seafield Community Council's recent work involved local planning applications including:
- consultation and input to the first phase of the Countesswells 3000 home development
- involvement in public meetings with the developer of Hazlewood, to allow local residents to voice their concerns.
Other work by the Community Council included:
- monitoring and photographing the polluted condition of local ponds and watercourses.
- writing letters of complaint to SEPA expressing our concerns about the continuous pollution of local watercourses and ponds.
- meeting with Council Officers to suggest measures that could be taken to increase road safety at the Craigiebuckler Avenue/Springfield Road junction and to make it more bus friendly.
- writing letters to Ward Councillors in a bid to have the evening and Sunday bus service re-instated.
You can get involved with Community Council issues by attending and having your say at our regular monthly meetings. These meetings are open to the public and will allow you to express your concerns. The meetings are held at 7.30 pm in Craigiebuckler Church Hall and the forthcoming meetings are:
