One of the highlights of Aberdeen’s summer events calendar, the Aberdeen Highland Games promises a fantastic day out for all ages.
Visitors can enjoy traditional Highland Games competitions, quality trade and charity stalls, family-friendly activities, entertainment, and a wide range of food and refreshments throughout the day.
The event attracts between 8,000 and 15,000 visitors annually and is proud to be affiliated with the Royal Scottish Highland Games Association .

Parking
Free parking is available at Hazlehead Park on a first come, first served basis. Additional parking for coaches and motorhomes will be available within walking distance of the main event area.
Members of the Blue Badge scheme should notify parking stewards upon arrival and ensure that their badge is prominently displayed.

Dogs
Welcome at the event, dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times. Owners are responsible for them throughout the event and must clean up after them.

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named Order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 .
A temporary prohibition of driving will be in place on the southbound carriageway of Great Southern Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Whinhill Road and Riverside Drive.
There will also be the following temporary prohibitions of waiting:
- Polmuir Road, east side, between Fonthill Road and the Duthie Park entrance.
- Polmuir Road, both sides, between the Duthie Park entrance and Riverside Drive.
- Murray Terrace, south side, between Polmuir Road and No. 13 Murray Terrace.
A prohibition of right turns from Polmuir Road onto Riverside Drive will also be in effect.
An alternative route is available via Holburn Street, Riverside Place and Riverside Drive.
Illegally parked vehicles may be removed at the owner’s expense.
No-waiting restrictions will be indicated by cones.
These measures are necessary to ensure public safety during the Big Sing Event.
