Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named Order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 .

A temporary prohibition of driving will be in place on the southbound carriageway of Great Southern Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Whinhill Road and Riverside Drive.

There will also be the following temporary prohibitions of waiting:

  • Polmuir Road, east side, between Fonthill Road and the Duthie Park entrance.
  • Polmuir Road, both sides, between the Duthie Park entrance and Riverside Drive.
  • Murray Terrace, south side, between Polmuir Road and No. 13 Murray Terrace.

A prohibition of right turns from Polmuir Road onto Riverside Drive will also be in effect.

An alternative route is available via Holburn Street, Riverside Place and Riverside Drive.

Illegally parked vehicles may be removed at the owner’s expense.

No-waiting restrictions will be indicated by cones.

These measures are necessary to ensure public safety during the Big Sing Event.
